Kristine S. Grant

Research Fellow

Kristine currently serves as Associate Clinical Professor of Multicultural and Urban Education at Drexel University. Before joining the Drexel faculty, Kristine was a Research Associate with Research for Action, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit engaged in educational research and evaluation. She recently co-organized an AERA-funded research conference with West Wind and the Creative Corridor Center for Equity in partnership with Drexel to explore the intersections of race and place in the recruitment and retention of educators of color.

Kristine’s research interests include multicultural education, family involvement, and teacher development.  She has presented nationally and published articles in the Sociology of Education, Journal of Research in Education, and Children, Youth, and Environments.  Presently, Kristine serves as Vice President of the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Association of Multicultural Education.

Kristine earned a B.A. from Knox College and a Ph.D. in Urban Education from Temple University.
