Adrienne Bailey

Senior Consultant, School Board Equity and Governance

Adrienne Bailey is currently a senior consultant providing strategic coaching and equity solutions to urban school district leaders and boards of education. Adrienne brings with her over 25 years of experience working in the fields of education and social justice to support disenfranchised youth living in urban and rural communities throughout the world.

Since 2012, primarily under the auspices of the Panasonic Foundation, she worked with the Highline and Elizabeth (EPS) school districts across a spectrum of equity initiatives. She has also served as a member of the Illinois State Board of Education and was a past president of the National Association of State Boards of Education. Adrienne’s prior work included serving as Senior Liaison at Stanford University’s Center for Opportunity Policy in Education/LEADS where her focus was on high school redesign working with leaders in the Dallas Independent School District and ExEL coach with Harvard University where she concentrated on improving teaching and learning in the Worcester (MA) public schools. She was also Program Manager with the Stupski Foundation with responsibility for strategic implementation in the areas of accountability, literacy, communications/community engagement and leadership development in East Baton Rouge and Cleveland school districts.

Adrienne holds a B.A. from Mundelien College, M.Ed. from Wayne State University and a Ph.D from Northwestern University.
